Kimberly Clark is an experienced K-12 public education administrator and advocate/consultant with a strong commitment towards educational reform/justice and school choice within the public education arena. Kimberly has 22 years of experience in areas of management, relationship building, collaboration, staffing, and facilitation of programs. Kimberly has served as a public school-site administrator and counselor, coordinator of college-level programs, served as a court-appointed CASA advocate, and education foundation board member.

Since 2005, Kimberly has served as the Executive Director and Founder of Cal-Ed Advocacy Services, Inc., a 501(c)(3) educational non-profit organization. Currently, Kimberly is a charter school developer and an advocate for students with disabilities. In the recent November 2016 General Election,  Kimberly was an Orange County Board of Education candidate for the South Orange County Community College District garnering over 60,000 votes. Kimberly holds an MPA in Nonprofit Sector Management, an M.A. in Educational Leadership and Administration, an M.S. in Educational Counseling and Guidance from California State University, and a B.A. in Political Science from the University of California.

Newell Williams currently serves as a high school administrator within the Huntington Beach Union High School District in Southern California. He has extensive experience working as a school-site administrator at several high schools with varied student demographics. Over the past eighteen years, Newell has focused on academic achievement, student-centered teaching, at-risk populations, school culture, special education, campus safety, and contract negotiations. His experience includes nineteen years as a teacher and coach with the Houston Independent, Los Angeles Unified, San Marino Unified, and Hacienda-La Puente Unified School Districts. Newell holds a B.A. in Political Science from Claremont McKenna College, as well as an M.A. in Educational Leadership and Administration from California State University San Bernardino. 

 

Dr. Michael Vallejo

Dr. Vallejo currently serves as a special education teacher, AVID college readiness teacher, and teacher on special assignment in Orange County, California. Dr. Vallejo's professional career in education spans more than 17 years, serving in many roles ranging from a preschool teacher to a K-12 education specialist. Dr. Vallejo's education includes a B.A. from California State University Fullerton, an M.A./California teaching credential from The University of La Verne, and an Ed.D from Brandman University. Dr. Vallejo maintains a high level of respect for the teaching profession, as he was raised in a household of teachers, and understands the importance of passionately inspiring students to develop their unique identity, talents, and interests. When asked, Michael stated that “one of the many joys of teaching is the role we play in influencing the future and motivating students towards achieving their life goals”. 

 

 

Dr. Raul Carranza

Dr. Carranza joined TEACH in 2011 as the Principal of TEACH Academy. In July 2014, Carranza.JPGDr. Carranza was appointed as Superintendent of Schools for TEACH. Prior to joining TEACH, Dr. Carranza served in various administrative positions in public and charter schools in southern California, including as principal at several schools. Prior to his administrative positions,  Dr. Carranza taught English, visual and performing arts, Spanish, history and social studies at various high schools in and around Los Angeles for over six years. Dr. Carranza earned his BA in Spanish and Latin American and Iberian Studies from the University of California Santa Barbara, his MA in Educational Administration from California State University San Bernardino, his Ed.D from Argosy University, and his Ph.D. in Comparative Spanish Literature from the University of Southern California.

Ashley Joy is an entrepreneur and local business owner in Orange County, California.  She has been a licensed aesthetician for the past sixteen years, with extensive industry experience that has enabled her to develop an amazing client base across the county.  Ashley brings a wealth of community-based experience, passion, and commitment in charter school development, both as a charter school parent of middle and elementary school students and as an advocate for the further development of exceptional charter schools in Orange County.
