- To provide opportunities and resources to increase career/workforce readiness skills.
- To provide real-time internships for students to gain employment training.
- To provide individualized academic remediation.
- To provide opportunities for students to build confidence and resiliency to enter the workforce and/or college.
Many high school graduates with disabilities have failed to enter the workforce, enroll in college or trade schools, are deficient in academic and/or workforce training skills, and lack confidence to be successful in the workforce and/or college. These students require a support program to overcome those obstacles that prevent them from attaining workplace and/or academic success, and achieving life-long, lifetime goals and normalcy.
Trans-Link is a program that utilizes mobile pop-up learning hubs to provide vocational, educational and transitional services to young adults with disabilities who struggle to find jobs and success in college. These services are in the form of individual academic remediation, real time vocational experiences, 21st century career planning, and placement into wage earning employment.
Trans-Link provides a 21st century post graduate high school program for young adults with disabilities transitioning to the employment sector or college.
